JUBILATION JAZZ
Bill Crook
Trumpet
Bill Crook started playing the trumpet as a 5th grader in Rison, Arkansas and has been playing it ever since. Never aspiring to be a music teacher, Bill was fortunate to find a job in music retail in Hot Springs in 1978. He learned how to repair wind instruments and opened his own repair shop/music store in 2001 - Crook’s Music Service on Central Avenue in Hot Springs.
Bill joined the Hot Springs Concert Band in the Fall of 1978 and Jubilation Jazz in 1998. He also plays in the Spa City Brass.
In January of 2006, Bill finally did pick up the baton as conductor of the Hot Springs New Horizons Band which has become a busy performing group with more than a dozen performances in 2019. As Bill likes to say, “It’s all music, all the time.”
