Ray Vardaman is from Pine Bluff, AR.  He and his wife Mary, currently live in Jacksonville, Texas.  Ray received a BME and MME from Ouachita Baptist University.  He is a Retired Band Director with 42 years of experience.

 

Ray has played trombone and bass with Jubilation Jazz since its inception in 1997 and served as director from 2005 to 2016.  Ray plays in three Tyler, Texas area bands: Souled Out Jazz Orchestra, East Texas Jazz Orchestra and Tyler Big Band.  He also plays weekly with the Celebration Orchestra at Green Acres Baptist Church, Tyler, Texas.

 

Ray has traveled with Camp Kirkland and the Metro Big Band on International Music Mission trips for Global Mission Projects that is based in Marietta, GA.
