  Jerry Rogers

Jerry Rogers was born and raised in Little Rock, AR.  He graduated from Little Rock Central HS in 1967 and University of Arkansas in 1972 with BS Civil Engineering degree.  Jerry spent a total of 22+ years in military and retired from Air Force.  A second career with the Arkansas Department of Transportation allowed him to be retired again.

Jerry began playing clarinet in band in 5th grade and switched to tenor saxophone in 8th grade.  He joined the Park Hill Baptist Church orchestra in 1994. 

Jerry is a founding member of Jubilation Jazz and is also a member of two Little Rock based bands:  Swing Band Reunion and St. Juke’s Revival.

 

His wife, Naomi, is from Jeon Ju, South Korea, and is an ordained Methodist minister.  He has three children and 7 grandchildren.  Jerry now resides in Sherwood, AR..
