Tyler was born in Jonesboro, AR in August of 1993, but grew up in Keiser, AR where he developed and molded his love for music. While a student at Rivercrest High School from 2008-2011, he was an all-state musician, a Class Salutatorian of his Senior Class, and a member of the Praise Team of his home Church of Keiser First Baptist.  He received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Arkansas State University in 2016 before beginning his work as a band director the past four years for the Forrest City School District in Forrest City, AR. 

 

Outside of his work, Tyler is an active percussionist and pianist who has performed throughout and outside of the United States with ensembles such as the Delta Symphony Orchestra, Diamond Brass Band, and has had a guest appearance with the World Famous Glenn Miller Orchestra.  He has shared the stage with many notable jazz musicians including Ronald and Brian Carter, Ed Soph, and Victor Goines. Tyler is currently the pianist for Jubilation Jazz.
